Monogrammed necklaces are still really popular, and you can find them on plenty of designer websites for a few hundred dollars. Or, you could make it. I found these gold-plated discs here for about $15. They offer engraving, but I did not like their font choices. So I bought it plain, and took it to Things Remembered in my local mall (most jewelry stores offer an engraving service). They monogrammed the disc for $6. I chose the script font, but they have other options which you can see here. I strung the charm on a gold chain that I already had, but I easily found some gold-filled chains for about $11-$13 on Amazon. I love my necklace, and made it for about $350 less than a designer monogrammed necklace.
